Mission Statement

“To whakamana whānau, hapū, iwi and hapori, to enable mana Motuhake.”

We aim to strengthen mana motuhake for tāngata, whānau, hapū and iwi across all levels of the health system.  With a focus on supporting hapori to create solutions that support their own health and wellbeing through utilising mātauranga Māori.

Whakataukī

Ko Lucinda Cassin ahau

I whakapapa to the Waikato but was born in the deep South and currently live in the Wairarapa.  Having graduated from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa Bachelor Bicultural Social Work nearly a decade ago, I have further studied in Postgraduate Diploma in Supervision and a Masters of Indigenous Peoples.

My passion lies in collaborating with Māori communities to address disparities within the healthcare system. Utilising my extensive experience as a senior Māori health clinician and leader spanning governmental, non-governmental, Iwi Services, and Charitable Trusts sectors, I have cultivated a robust skill set in change management and community development. Over the course of my career, I have honed my expertise in Māori health, service management, and development, as well as gaining a comprehensive understanding of service commissioning.

The year 2023 marked a significant milestone in the growth and expansion of Ka Hikitia Consultancy Services Ltd, thereby contributing to the growth of health and wellbeing within our communities. The realisation of Ka Hikitia as a viable business venture in early 2023 has allowed for unprecedented opportunities for growth and broader service offerings within the sector.
